Omega 3
Omega 3 fatty acids, particularly EPA and DHA, are critical to the immune system and overall gut health of your mature dog.
Our Omega 3 fish-based oil is harvested from the Alaskan Bering Sea and Aleutian Island Fisheries to protect the environment and your dog. These fisheries are managed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Services (NMFS). The fish oils are sourced from wild-caught Alaska pollock, mercury- and heavy-metal-free and certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council (COC# MSC-C-52212).
Pumpkin seed meal is a natural powerhouse of Omega 6 fatty acids, antioxidants, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and Vitamin B3 (niacin).Â
L-Carnitine
Every cell in your dog’s body needs energy to function properly. The energy production process takes place in tiny “power stations” inside cells, called mitochondria. Unfortunately, mitochondrial function decreases as your dog ages, reducing the energy available for the cells to fight disease and repair cellular damage.
L-Carnitine supports a cell’s energy. It facilitates the use of Omega 3 fatty acids as fuel to sustain energy production in mitochondria.
DE111 Strain of Probiotics
Our Shield Again formula includes a clinically proven, patented, strain of probiotics called DE111. This specific strain of probiotics help to maintain and promote the normal functioning of the immune system of your dog while improving the absorption of nutrientsÂ
Beta-Glucan
As dogs age, their immune system weakens, leaving them less able to withstand harmful pathogens. The best way to support your dog's immune system is to incorporate foods that stimulate the immune response.
Beta-glucans are, active compounds found in the cell walls of baker's yeast, and have been shown to stimulate immune responses in older dogs. Clinical studies prove that adding these active cell wall components to a dog's diet can improve overall immune response.

Vitamin E
Vitamin E is an essential component of a healthy diet for senior dogs, particularly for brain and cognitive health. Vitamin E is also a powerful antioxidant, this is, it may help to reduce the cellular damage caused by free radicals that could interfere with the normal health and function of joint tissue.
Pomegranate and Blueberries (An Antioxidant Blend)
The first line of defence against oxidative stress are antioxidants. However, the production of antioxidants decreases significantly as dogs age, signifying the significance of supplementation to support your canine.
High-quality and high-potency antioxidants help promote and maintain healthy immune responses. Shield Again includes a robust blend of well-known, safe antioxidants sourced from superfoods like blueberries and pomegranate.
